ABBA reunite... but just in a Stockholm restaurant to party: no comeback is planned

Swedish pop masters ABBA got together (all four members: Agnetha Fältskog, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson) in a Stockholm restaurant, on January 20. It's the first time the four are seen together in the same place since 2008, but - according to reporters which questioned them - there are no plans of reuniting: indeed they were at the "Mamma Mia! The Party" (this is the name of the restaurant) for its opening.

Björn Ulvaeus told the reporters:

We are here to party

And Benny Andersson insisted that he didn’t think the four of them would be getting back together on stage. Actually not all is lost: it's true that ABBA once reportedly turned down $1bn to re-form, but in a "Guardian" interview in 2014 they did not rule out recording together again.

By the way, at the "Mamma Mia! The Party" Agnetha, Anni-Frid, Björn and Benny went just to enjoy the new restaurant, which is based on the Greek taverna in the "Mamma Mia!" musical. As well as Mediterranean food, it offers entertainment including - according to the the website - “daredevil stunts, Greek Gods, flirty waiters, and perhaps a zorba and an ouzo or two”.
