Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show: watch Colpdlay's performance with Beyoncé and Bruno Mars - VIDEO

Coldplay - as announced - performed during the Pepsi Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show in San Francisco, palying out some of their biggest hits on a stage drenched in effulgent flowers and psychedelic colors. Chris Martin's band opened with "Viva La Vida", then played "Paradise" and "Adventure of a Lifetime".

After this, Colplay left the stage to Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars, the latter dressed in old school hip-hop clothes, for a run-through of "Uptown Funk!".

Then it was Beyoncé's turn: she performed her new song "Formation" and took the stage for a dance-off with Mars. Bey also had a rare misstep for a moment, almost falling backward while dancing, but she recovered quickly.

After that, Coldplay got back on stage and performed "Clocks" - in the meantime a video montage showed the many A-listers to perform halftime shows in years past (Bruce Springsteen, Michael Jackson, James Brown, etc). During the footage, Martin even sang bits of past performers' song, including Prince's "Purple Rain" and U2's "Beautiful Day".

After Coldplay closed with "Up & Up," the words "believe in love" exploded over the Super Bowl 50 crowd.
