Dolly Parton to perform with Katy Perry at 2016 ACMs

Dolly Parton and Katy Perry will take the stage at the 2016 Academy of Country Music Awards on April 3.  

Parton and Perry announced the duet on their socials today (March 21). In a video on her website, Parton revealed that her TV movie "Coat of Many Colors" will be honored with the Tex Ritter Award, the award will be presented to her by Katy Perry.

This will be the eighth ACM Award for Parton, who was an executive producer and the narrator of the movie.

The 51st annual ACM Awards will air Sunday, April 3 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS, hosted by Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley.
