Kanye West’s 3rd version of “The Life of Pablo" will be available on Spotify, Apple Music

Kanye West wasn’t kidding when he stated that “The Life of Pablo” was a living and breathing work of art: the album is already on its third iteration just weeks after release.

A group of fans on Reddit tracked the changes and there are now only a handful of tracks that have escaped tweaks. Those who had purchased the album via Tidal received a link to re-download it, a nice way to keep connected with fans and letting them know that their custom is appreciated.

Other than the tweak, the big news is that Kanye seems to have changed his mind on the distribution of the album after tweeting that it would never be available to buy or stream anywhere other than on Tidal.

“The Life of Pablo” is now expected to be available on Spotify, Apple Music, Rhapsody and Google play starting on Friday.

Just yesterday, Tidal revealed reaching 3 million subscribers and Kanye’s exclusive certainly played a part in helping the service reach that goal. It has now been six weeks since the initial release of the album, which means that those who joined Tidal to stream it have either cancelled the trial membership or started paying for their subscriptions, so there’s not much more Kanye can do to “push” the service.

The release of the album on other services may also help Kanye chart with the album, given that Tidal’s unwillingness to provide Nielsen Soundscan with streaming data meant that the album has been absent from the Billboard 200 thus far.
