David Bowie tribute ballet set to premiere at the Music Hall in Detroit

As reported by "Billboard", a ballet centered around the work of the Thin White Duke - David Bowie - is set to debut at the Music Hall in Detroit.

The Music Hall in Detroit has commissioned it as part of a tribute to legendary musician and it is scheduled to debut June 18. According to the organizers, Complexions Contemporary Ballet will offer interpretations of the work of Bowie that night as well as the US metal band Metallica.

Other Michigan tributes to Bowie were earlier announced. The Detroit Symphony Orchestra plans an event titled "The Music of David Bowie" on July 10 at Meadow Brook amphitheater in suburban Detroit. And the Grand Rapids Symphony plans a tribute on Aug. 2 at Cannonsburg Ski Area.
