Rihanna shares video for “Sledgehammer” shot on IMAX cameras

Barbadian popstar Rihanna released her contribution to the "Star Trek Beyond" soundtrack: it's a ballad called “Sledgehammer”. The video for the song was premiered in IMAX theaters across the US on June 30. ù

The clip, directed by Floria Sigismondi, is the first music video ever to be shot entirely on IMAX cameras. It features footage of Rihanna, in alien makeup and facial tattoos, alone on what appears to be a largely abandoned planet. There’s also cameos from the USS Enterprise and the swarming robots that can be seen plaguing its crew in the trailers for the new film.
