Eric Clapton set to appear on new Rolling Stones album

Keith Richards, of the legendary rockers Rolling Stones, told BBC 6 Music that fellow guitar master Eric Clapton "dropped by for a couple of numbers", during the recording sessions for the band's new album.

The new album was confirmed by the band earlier this year at the launch of Exhibitionism, a career retrospective at London's Saatchi Gallery.

The sessions for the new release brought the Stones to record both new material and some blues covers, including songs by Little Walter and Howlin' Wolf. According to Richards, the album will feature "a lot of Chicago blues" and will be "coming out in the autumn some time". He also added:

The titles I can't reveal at the moment, for the reason that I can't quite remember them and I haven't got a list with me.
