E Street Band guitarist Nils Lofgren is selling some of his gear

Nils Lofgren (singer-songwriter and longtime guitarist for Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band) in partnership with gear marketplace Reverb is selling many items from his personal collection.

The musician, an E Street Band member since 1984, launched the Reverb sale after evaluating his "massive" collection and determining that some items could be better appreciated by fans and other musicians. He explained, talking with "Rolling Stone":

In my 49th year on the road professionally, I find myself with a massive amount of great instruments and gear I've acquired and put to good use for over half a century. As I'm regularly refining and adjusting gear for every musical chapter … I've had the idea for a long time to get the gear that's sitting idle into the hands of musicians who would use it regularly as I once did. I continue to donate gear to local school programs, family, friends, and charities, but the overall accumulation of gear remains enormous. [...] I want to get [these items] into the hands of musicians that will play them or people who may value them as a piece of my musical history. I'm optimistic that the musical discovery and excitement each piece once gifted me will be a new adventure for anyone who gets them and I take comfort in that. [...] While each piece of gear in the shop is special to me – spanning my old band Grin, my many solo projects, my work in bands with Neil Young, E Street, Ringo Starr, and many others, on tour and in the studio – I'm at peace knowing that these pieces will be used and enjoyed regularly again

Some of the most notable pieces include a Gibson Les Paul from Lofgren's home studio, two Fender Twin amplifiers used onstage with Springsteen and multiple Roland GP-8 effects processors utilized during solo and E Street Band tours.

Nearly 40 items are available to purchase at Lofgren's official web store.
