Midem 2017 to Host 2 World-Class Competitions: Midemlab & Midem Artist Accelerator

Midem 2017 will take place on June 6-9 in Cannes, France. This year it will host two world-class competions: Midemlab and Midem Artist Accelerator.

Midemlab is an international launch pad for startups, offering new opportunities in the music ecosystem. Now in its 10th year, this international pitching competition for cutting-edge startups (not only on the music sector) provides startups with the opportunity to apply in four categories: Music creation & education, Music discovery & distribution, Marketing & data/analytics, Experiential technology (VR/AR, high-resolution, IoT & hardware). Midemlab enables to source the innovations that will shape tomorrow’s music biz landscape.

Midem Artist Accelerator (MAA) is a programme designed to fast-track the international careers of selected artists. The MAA aims to identify and develop emerging talent as well as support managers, labels, agents and publishers seeking to grow their artists’ profile on the international stage. The 11 upcoming artists selected by the 2017 Artistic Committee will get to play live at Midem, and will benefit a 360° programme featuring a range of curated networking opportunities with key players from the international community, as well as learning and coaching sessions with industry mentors
