R.I.P. Chester Bennington, Linkin Park singer has died at age of 41

Very sad news from the Linkin Prak headquarters. Chester Bennington, best known as the lead singer of the band, is dead. "TMZ" and bandmate Mike Shinoda confirmed the news, which spread all over the world.

Bennington's death was ruled a suicide by hanging, according to the early reports. Law enforcement sources tell "TMZ" that Bennington was home alone at the time of the suicide. According to the site, his family was out of town. A housekeeper discovered Bennington's body, Palos Verdes Estates police Capt. Mark Velez told "Daily Breeze".

He was 41 years old and a good friend of Chris Corell, who took his life too in May. Incidentally, Bennington took his life on what would have been Cornell’s 53rd birthday.

Warner Bros. CEO and chairman Cameron Strang said in a statement:

Chester Bennington was an artist of extraordinary talent and charisma, and a human being with a huge heart and a caring soul. Our thoughts and prayers are with his beautiful family, his band-mates and his many friends. All of us at WBR join with millions of grieving fans around the world in saying: we love you Chester and you will be forever missed.
