Justin Bieber lawsuit for “Sorry” has been dropped

Good news for Justin Bieber: White Hinterland (aka Casey Dienel) dropped the lawsuit he filed in 2016 against the teen idol and Skrillex over the 2015 hit single “Sorry”.

Hinterland claimed the song mimicked “unique characteristics of the female vocal riff” featured in her 2014 song “Ring the Bell”; now she has filed paperwork to drop the lawsuit, according to "TMZ".

At first, Hinterland and the song’s co-writers asked for money and Bieber to stop playing the song. She also told "Pitchfork", last year, that she had approached Bieber’s team with “an opportunity to have a private dialogue”, but they refused and she felt compelled to stand up for her music.
