Ticketmaster launches mobile app called Shortlist

Ticketing giant Ticketmaster just launched its newest mobile app. It's called "Shortlist – Concert Tickets", and it offers music fans “last-minute tickets to great concerts”.

The app has is already available in the US for iPhone and for Android smartphones, and it is clearly aiming to fill venues by appealing to fans making their ticket-buying decisions just before the events.

The app can filter gigs by genre as well as location. At the moment it seems that the Shortlist app hasn’t been officially announced by Ticketmaster yet - even if it’s not a secret product. There’s already an official website, and a section of Ticketmaster’s Innovation site also profiles the app.
