Jimmy Iovine set to Leave Apple Music in August?
According to sources - as reported by "Billboard" and "Hits Daily Double" - Jimmy Iovine is set to leave Apple Music in August.
He joined Apple in 2014 after selling Beats (the music platform and electronics business that he co-founded with Dr. Dre) to the tech giant for $3 billion. Iovine’s ties to Apple go back to 2003 when he first met Apple founder Steve Jobs and exec Eddy Cue, and was a key proponent of Apple’s iTunes and iPod.
It is unclear whether Apple might replace Iovine, who never took a specific title at the company.
