Kobalt has a new CEO of its music division

Kobalt Music has a new CEO of its music division: Lonny Olinick. His promotion comes seven months after the departure of Kobalt President Richard Sanders (who is currently TIDAL’s CEO, and was previously involved in much of Kobalt’s activity in recorded music).

Olinick will oversee artist services/distribution platform AWAL as well as the Kobalt Music Recordings operation, reporting directly to the founder and CEO of Kobalt Music, Willard Ahdritz.

Olinick previously had the role of Kobalt’s Chief Strategy Officer, in charge of strategy and business development, as well as executive oversight, for Kobalt’s recordings division.
