Oliver Schusser is now global head of Apple Music

Big news from Cupertino. Indeed, Apple Music has a new global boss.

His name is Oliver Schusser and he has been named head of Apple Music Worldwide, moving up from his London-based role as VP of Apple Music & International Content. Schusser also recently played a key role in Apple’s recent $400m acquisition of Shazam and he will relocate from the UK to California for the new position.
Schusser will divide his time between Apple Park in Cupertino and Apple’s offices in Culver City, while continuing to lead international teams in 38 markets.

"Variety" reports that the news was confirmed today (April 11) in an internal memo from Apple’s SVP of Internet Software and Services Eddy Cue – to whom Schusser will report in his new role. Cue’s memo also confirms that Apple Music has now surpassed 40m paying subscribers worldwide.
