Queen: watch the new trailer for Freddie Mercury biopic, "Bohemian Rhapsody"

Save the date: on November 2nd "Bohemian Rhapsody", the long-awaited Freddie Mercury biopic starring Rami Malek, will finally be out. And there's a new trailer online: watch it below.

The film was scripted by Anthony McCarten and chronicles a 15-year period from the formation of Queen, up to their performance at Live Aid in 1985 - six years before Mercury’s death. Queen’s other members are portrayed by Ben Hardy (drummer Roger Taylor), Gwilym Lee (guitarist Brian May) and Joseph Mazzello (bassist John Deacon).

Bryan Singer was originally to handle direction of the film, but was then fired. Dexter Fletcher was brought in to complete filming and post-production.

Talk of a Freddie Mercury and Queen biopic persisted for at least a decade prior to "Bohemian Rhapsody" being officially announced. For years it was believed that Sacha Baron Cohen would play Mercury in a biopic, though he later distanced himself from the film.
