I Brought This On Myself

I'm trying everything I know how to do just to breathe
all of the walls around are closing in on me
you said you'd be here for a minute now the minute has passed
all of the egg shells I'm walking on are feeling like glass
I wanted out, you wanted in
and here again
nothing ever stays the way it should've been
the sun is down
and now and then
it never ends
but I can't complain cause I brought this on myself
let's round up everyone around and see what they have to say
the sun is setting and we're all getting tired of the games
you wash your hands of every word we heard come out of your mouth
if that's an apology I must just not be used to the sound
I wanted out, you wanted in
and here again
nothing ever stays the way it should've been
the sun is down
and now and then
it never ends
but I can't complain cause I brought this on myself
