Outlaw in Me (Commentary)

You know Brantley, I know that your wife
You have written a ton of songs about her
When you were dating, when you were broken up
Now that you're married
But in addition to her inspiring songs, does she have a lot of input to your music?
For instance, do you run things by her?
And does she give it thumbs up a or thumbs down or?

She'll tell me what she likes
Or if there's something that's not her favorite, she'll tell me
And does that influence you?
It does, I value her opinion
I know that she knows me and she knows my music, and she's my wife

I feel like sometimes to her, you know
Like it would be for anybody
I feel like if there are songs that don't necessarily directly about her
And they'd, you know, address some thing
She'll feel like its uncomfortable (right)
Like it would be for anybody (right)

But she does a wonderful job of understanding that
I am covering a chapter in my life where
The first part of this chapter was
We were not together (right)
And she does a wonderful job understanding that
And sharing her opinion as unbiased as she possibly can
But I do think she does like-
When she hears songs like "Outlaw in Me"
(Mm, yeah, that's a great song) when she does that-
That's me (that's a great song)
Thank you
