Late Hours

Scrolling through instagram late at night
After talking with God and just
Seeing all these broken people and these broken posts and and
And the broken hearts
And, I think the greatest example of love that we ever seen and ever received
Is when Jesus died on the cross
But
The world likes to talk about something different
And the world teaches you
Hate the player and hate the fake ones
But really have you ever wondered why a player became a player?

She getting older with time but I love the chase for me
I know she probably only hopes for love like me
And faithfully
She used to love a boy like me
But she broken hearted
Hope departed
Hopeless
Profess
What the boy went started
I got so involved in all his problems
And now I see why she loving to play with hearts
Throwing darts
And using uno reverse cards
Not uno
I mean playing last cards
Cause she got all her suits and ties
And drops the last jacked king of hearts when she want a fake love

I should've told her that I loved her
Ain't no holding me back
The way I got my feelings stuck, It's like I'm stuck in the past
The painful love they trynna' give
And my heart's wearing a cast
It's maybe cause it's time
And baby time is moving too fast
But I don't know
I never had these feelings before
I never had to pray to God and ask to clean up my soul
I never had no one to touch or anyone just to hold
And that's the reason why I tell everyone my heart is cold
But as I stare into the sky I wonder why they wouldn't listen
(Got my eyes up to glisten)
Got me reminiscin'
Bout my past
I know you had some pills on the dash
You always had a personality that relates to trash
But baby I won't love if they wouldn't give
Had a peaceful mind until I learned what my papa did
Had to pop the lid
I'm not the one to skip
I had a broken heart ever since I was a kid
So nothing's really new to me
I wonder why our kids are into nudity
Had to give my words to you musically
I always had it wrong
The way I got my mind in a song
So if you ever feel defeat it's in your heart that you're strong
(Peace)
