Falling Leaves

For a while there
I could see it oh so clearly
These tiny stones in my shoes
Cutting at my feet
Bring me out this daydream
Drive in some clarity
I got a little perspective on it baby
And it's not on you
It's on me
Allow me to indulge myself
With an Analogy

We were like the falling leaves
Picked up on a breeze
Suspended in the air there for awhile
Dancing wildly and free
And when the wind ceased
Gravity it intervened
Falling leaves hit the ground
Where they die in the shadow of the tree

Well you know I never sleep too good
It's worse when your not here
Cold sheets without your body heat
Make me all to aware
Who needs those slices of death anyway
To scared to dream in case I see your face
So I put McCartney 2 on repeat
Waterfalls takes me to a place

And I indulge myself
With an analogy

We were like the falling leaves
Picked up on a breeze
Suspended in the air there for awhile
Dancing wildly and free
And when the wind ceased
Gravity it intervened
Falling leaves hit the ground
Where they die in the shadow of the tree
