Everybody Hurts (Live)
When your day is long
And the night, the night is yours alone
When you're sure you've had enough
Of this life, well hang on
Don't let yourself go
'Cause everybody cries
And everybody hurts sometimes
Sometimes everything is wrong
Now it's time to sing along
When your day is night alone
If you feel like letting go
And you think you've had too much
Of this life, to hang on
Well everybody hurts
Take comfort in your friends
And everybody hurts
Don't throw your hand, oh no
Don't throw your hand
If you feel like letting go
No, no, no, you're not alone
Your day is long
And the night, the night is yours alone
If you think you've had too much
Of this life to hang on
Well, everybody hurts sometimes
Everybody cries
And everybody hurts
Sometimes
Everybody hurts sometimes
So hold on, hold on
Hold on, hold on
Hold on
Everybody hurts
Everybody hurts
Thank you
Thanks, can you hear everything?
Alright, if you walked around the building this way
You saw a truck, parked in the parking lot
And it has, uh, it has these giant things on the top of it
What we're doing this for is a record
Has somebody explained this already? No
They did? No the didn't, okay, I'm gonna truncate it
There's a record that Greenpeace is putting out
Probably early next year, there's a lot of bands that are playing on it
And they're all playing live
And each band is being recorded using a solar generator
It's called a "Solar Genny"
So they hooked this thing up on North Campus today
And they, they got a lot of sunlight
And then they hooked it up in the parking lot
And it got a lot of sunlight
And it goes down into batteries, and that goes into a compressor
That, a compressor? It goes into a transformer
That transforms it into a 120 watts, which means it can power the truck
That's recording this show that we're going to pick a song from
To go on the record
So what Greenpeace is doing is trying to kind of
Push the envelope on solar energy
And the possibility of alternative energies for the future
And we would like to thank Greenpeace and all the people involved
In the recording for donating their time and for asking us
And uh, putting up with us throughout this event
And the night, the night is yours alone
When you're sure you've had enough
Of this life, well hang on
Don't let yourself go
'Cause everybody cries
And everybody hurts sometimes
Sometimes everything is wrong
Now it's time to sing along
