The Warrior

I am a burden to the man
Who picked me up and put me down until
I screamed out loud and shouted out
And now, now that I am free
I know what I must do
Rip out every piece of string
That tied down him and me

Never in this life did I think I would fight again
I think I am right to pull the plug
And make it end

Don't obey what they say
Things were gone from the start

You made a load of mistakes
I turned my head and never turned it back until
You broke my frown, turned it upside down
And now, I am the warrior
I know what I should do
Reach out and take what's mine
After all these years it's now my time
