Perfect Gentleman

Growing up my mom was so proud of her young man.
She told me I would grow up and get married and have children.

Every night she'd come and tuck me in and sing the same song,
It went like this...

You'll always be, my Perfect Gentleman.
Make mommy proud of the things you do.

And when life takes a turn,
Just remember all the things you learned.
Know every lesson is a blessing to you.
It's hard to find a Perfect Gentleman.
Know you are one of the precious few.
So be brave and strong and know I am so proud of you.
My perfect gentle, oh so gentle man.

Dearest Mom, Dearest Dad,
How've you been?
There is something I'm dying to tell you,
I'm not sure how.
I'm in love with a man and I finally know just who I am.
And what I'm feeling I may not have again.

Every thing in my soul says this is right.
This is love for a lifetime I know it.
Just be glad for me, don't be sad for me.
Isn't life a wondrous thing?
Tell me you will love me as I am...
