22 (Commentary)
Thanks for listening to Big Machine Radio and the Taylor Swift Red album 6 year anniversary special
I remember when I first saw the video for this next song, it was so fun
It made me want to be part of Taylor's friend group
She was riding around in a shopping cart
Of course, I'm talking about 22
And in some ways, Taylor says this song is about ignorance being bliss when you're in your early 20s
The song 22 is, um, it's kind of an idea I got while I was on a plane, um
And I ran into the studio with Max Martin and Johan Shellback
You guys, listen to this, and um, and they loved it too so we worked on it
And I wanted to write a song about what my summer had been like
With my friends with that kind of attitude of like
We are in our 20s and we don't know aything and it's awesome, you know
It's kind fun to embrace that, um, and I gotta say that's probably one of the biggest choruses on the record
It is definitely a fun song and hard to sit still when you hear it
It's 22 on Big Machine Radio
