Lie with me is my favorite song on the record
This is a really cool story, the way it came to us
The way we ended up recording it

There's this guy a (Stoklasa)
Stocklasa, still can't say his name, I just call him a...
Paul Worthy had sent us a song of his that we kind of fell in love with
You know, I talked with Nathan actually, too, and I said
So, we got the song lie with me
And I said that I love the demo and I kept saying that, Nathan
I said, if we recut this, we're going to just take all the coolness out of this thing

And so what we ended up doing was use his track
And then Nathan kind of built it up a little bit and added some stuff

So that's kind of what we did with the track Erik Kenny did
And embellish it a little bit
But really, there's so much space in there, all these cool guitars
And pads and things that he played and put together (the tones)

But I love that it's a play on words (yeah)
It's like lie with me, like, let's not
Okay, we both know that this isn't going anywhere, it's not the truth
But tomorrow we're gonna wake up and know that this isn't gonna work
But, you know, lie with me
But then also, lie with me

Let me right when it comes on
It just feels like something special to us
And that's what we loved about the demo of the song and, and had to cut it, absolutely
