Can't Stand The Rain - Commentary
We wrote this song with Josh Kear
Can't Stand The Rain and
I think Dave again
He's been done more a lot more of loops
Lately and he uhh
I remember he sing out
I think he sing out the loop
And he's got a home studio too
And he sing out just that
uhh-dung-dung-du-dung-duh
You know he always sings a lot of ideas
Half of them kind of
ewwww cheesy, something
Every now he come with really
He come with really
Yeah he always
He always has a disclaimer guys
This may sound like crap
But check it out see what you think
And uhh, and uhh, and so
He sent that out
Three of us kind of gotten this melody
Kind of go on, and uhh
And we knew we had like uhh
When you just can't stand
When you just can't stand the rain
And that's pretty much all we had
And then uhh, I think we had either play the show
Or go sound check or something with Josh Kear
Which should've been the idea
We come back and he had like half of the verses written
Which was really cool till like in a week 'coz
I don't know
Lyrically we didn't really know
I don't know what that means
We just can't stand the rain
I don't know
I don't know where'd he take it
But it sounds really cool and unique
And he took it to this loving place that
Yeah
Isn't specifically about realtionship
A love relationship
It's just about the ebb and flow
And the journey of life and the being in your constant
Like no matter where you go, you know
However far, I'm always here
You can always come back here
You know, and so it was a really special song
And for me personally in the second verse there's a line that says
Don't you worry about me baby you just go on
Do what you gotta do and that's the last thing
That my grandfather ever said to me
So it was like a really special
And we were super close and you know
He was like a second dad and so
For him, a little bit of him to be in there
And just how proud he is of us
Still is and was, umm
It's just really cool
So that's one I think the most personal to me
Can't Stand The Rain and
