Caught A Long Wind - Spotify Interview
Uh, Caught A Long Wind is the first song I've ever wrote-, written with Maki and Gonzalez
The three of us have never written anything before, before that song
So for me, it's–
I can hear the accumulated years of our complete total of years of our friendship
So, Maki and Gonzo knowing each other for maybe 20 years
And me and Gonzo knowing each other for 15
Maki and I knowing each other for 15
It all adds up to be like a 40-year-old friendship, you know?
Like, accumulatively, we've all been in with each other for that long
And that's, it's kind of a shortcut to being in our 70s
And sort of thinking as people who have known each other for 40 years, you know?
Collectively we have
So, I, I, for me that was a giant leap in our friendship to be able to write together like that
The three of us have never written anything before, before that song
So for me, it's–
I can hear the accumulated years of our complete total of years of our friendship
So, Maki and Gonzo knowing each other for maybe 20 years
And me and Gonzo knowing each other for 15
Maki and I knowing each other for 15
It all adds up to be like a 40-year-old friendship, you know?
Like, accumulatively, we've all been in with each other for that long
And that's, it's kind of a shortcut to being in our 70s
And sort of thinking as people who have known each other for 40 years, you know?

So, I, I, for me that was a giant leap in our friendship to be able to write together like that
